Hello, and welcome to the other universe. Look around, take your time, and above all, enjoy things sincerely! I'm Amanda, Micah, or Marsh (they/them or she/her), the maker of this site. I enjoy and create fantastical things, trippy metaphysical stories and ideas, creatures, and collections of different but similar objects, colors and textures. I live in the state of Oregon in the USA. I can draw, write, sing, dance and play the piano (after a fashion). I created this website primarily to as a home and showcase for my creative work, particularly worldbuilding and other fictional writing. However, it also serves as a home for a digital 'commonplace book', containing various anecdotes, observations, and reflections on the many things that interest me in the world, and an expanding library of song lyrics. I also plan for it to contain a gallery of my drawings and other physical artwork going forward. My current focal regions of interest include marine biology (especially the deep ocean), the history of jazz music, Miles Davis, weird/silly/spooky art of any sort, internet history, telecommunications/media, psychedelic research, plant biology, semiotics and critical theory, New Wave science fiction, the arrival of springtime, fictional bestiaries, the history of fandom, Animal Crossing, interior decorating, paranormal lore and Forteana, the band Swans, twentieth-century "fine" (plastic/visual) arts, twentieth-century American pop-culture, and liminal aesthetics. My past/dormant interests are too many to list but prominently include: Sun Ra, the history of magic/esotericism, weird horror fiction, hard sci-fi, speculative evolution, dragons and generally mythical beasts, paleontology, zoology, Minecraft, video game bestiaries, theoretical physics, astronomy, Pokemon, trains, cars, houseplants, stuffed animals, dog and cat breeds, vacuum cleaners, power tools, water fountains... I would like to learn more about architecture, electromagnetism, horse breeds, and everything else generally.
